Keurig B30 Single-Cup Brewers are Available Now (Red Ones Too)
It’s hard to image the self-confessed Keurig junkie that I am would wait this long (hey I’ve been busy) to tell you about the latest offering in the Keurig single-serve coffee machine lineup, but I did, and now I’m making it right.
The K-Cup Challenge should serve as a testament to how much I love the Keurig brewing system. While I personally own a B70 (which I need to get around to writing a full review of one of these days), and enjoy most of the coffee that comes out of it (stay away from the Chai Coffee), for some, the B70, and even the slightly smaller B60 and B40 models are a bit on the bulky side.
Enter the B30, the svelte new offering for the undisputed king of single-serve coffee; Keurig. Unlike it’s big brothers (or sisters if you prefer), the B30 lacks the familiar 48 or 60 ounce water tank. Instead it offers true single cup performance; meaning instead of a multi-cup water reservoir, the B30 requires that water be added prior to each and every cup you brew.
Now admittedly the B30, when compared to the bigger brewers in the Keurig lineup is short on features, but before you go hatin’ on the B30, know that although this David of the coffee world may not slay the Goliaths in terms of bells and whistles, it’s diminutive size make it possible to enjoy your K-Cups where other Keurig brewers simply aren’t an option.
Do you live in one of those tiny little New York City style apartments? Are you short on counter space? Ever wanted to take your Keurig with you when you travel? Are you about to be a contestant on Survivor? Do you like small appliances because you think they’re cute? Have you ever wished you could get a Keurig in a color other than black? Do you own a boat or an RV? Do you yourself live in a college dorm room or know somebody who does? Do you work in a stone age era office without a Keurig Brewer in your break room?
If you answered yes to one or more of these questions (except maybe the Survivor one), then the Keurig B30 is the brewer for you. With a dry weight of only 7 lbs., and dimensions of 11 1/8″ x 10″ X 7″, the B30 is the go anywhere, fit anywhere solution for coffee lovers everywhere. Whether you’re on the road, in your dorm room, or at your desk, the Keurig B30 is the perfect Keurig for brewing a delicious 8 oz. K-Cup of coffee. With rumors that my company may be pulling the plug (so to speak) on our B140 Office Brewer, I may have to pick up a B30 for my own desk.
Like all Keurigs, the B30 is exceptionally easy to use (check out this cheat sheet)

Whoa, that sure was easy. 0 effort +3 minutes = one flippin’ delicious cup of coffee? Can Mr. Coffee do that? Black and Decker? Kitchen Aid? No, no, and hell no. For more detailed information, feel free to download the B30 Manual.
Now you can buy a Keurig B30 lots of places, but for several reasons (not the least of which is they give me a cut of all sales), I recommend purchasing yours from Green Mountain Coffee Roasters. Apart from the kickback (which helps pay for this site and keeps the K-Cup Challenge going), Green Mountain is an environmentally conscious company that gives back to both it’s local community in Vermont, and those communities where Green Mountain Coffee is grown. They also happen to make some seriously great tasting coffee.
It’s also worth mentioning that Green Mountain is one of the few sites where the B30 Brewer is available in Red. That’s right, you think you can just stroll into Bed Bath and Beyond and get a B30 in Red? Well you can’t. Sorry, I don’t make the rules.
Finally, Green Mountain has a couple of outstanding programs for K-Cup coffee consumers. First, there is their Cafe Express program which offers the following:
- Save $2 on each box of K-Cups, $1 on every bagged coffee and 5% on everything else!
- Have your order shipped on a schedule you choose. Change your order whenever you change your mind!
- Choose from free coffee or other great gifts when you subscribe! Look forward to more gifts and samples throughout the year.
In addition to Cafe Express, which is an awesome in its own right, Green Mountain recently launched a new Refer a friend Program. If you refer a friend to Green Mountain, and that friend buys a brewer, both you and your friend each get two boxes of the Green Mountain Regular Variety Sampler packs. Green Mountain even pays for the shipping (all Keurig Brewers ship free from Green Mountain).
Green Mountain, Keurig, and You, man, that’s an awesome combination.
All Keurig Brewers come with a 30 day money back guarantee, so you really have nothing to lose.

Buy the Keurig B30 or choose one of the other Keurig Home Brewers from Green Mountain.
