K-Cup Concoctions: Timothy’s White Hot Cocoa and Bosco Berry Blue Syrup

As if I don’t have enough keeping me busy with the K-Cup Challenge, I thought it high time I expanded my K-Cup franchise a bit.  I had read about, and then recreated for myself, a Green Mountain Mocha-type drink by mixing their Espresso Blend with their Hot Cocoa.  Joe Siminovich as Shoffee.com tipped me off to one of his customers who was quite happy (in more than one respect) after mixing Timothy’s Canarino with vodka.  My point here is that if you’re willing to throw a little creative muster behind it, there’s a world of possibilities when you combine K-Cups with, well, pretty much anything.

My mother, who very well may be insane, gave me a bottle of Bosco Berry Blue Syrup for Christmas.  Occasionally I will mix it in with a glass of milk, mostly because it disgusts my wife.  Don’t get me wrong, I really do enjoy a cool glass of blue milk, but really, it’s the wife-factor that really hits the spot.

So anyway, I’ve got a bottle of Bosco Blue Berry Syrup, and I still have a few of the Timothy’s White Hot Chocolate K-Cups that Joe from Shoffee sent me a while back.  I’d been contemplating the idea of mixing the two for a while, and finally, tonight, I said “what the hell”, and went ahead a did it.

While blue tongues are normally the exclusive domain of children under the age of 12, my Bosco face says grown-ups can enjoy it too.
I’ve found that most adults are put off by pretty much anything that’s both blue and edible.  Perhaps the one exception to that rule is a some sort of blue Margarita, or at the very least a mixed drink with a bit of Blue Curacao in it.  Me, I’m actually drawn to blue foods.  The aforementioned margaritas for sure, but also blue ketchup, any kind of blue candy, and of course, Boo-Berry cereal.  Oh, and yes, I really am in my 30s, I just eat like a 6 year old.

The result is kind of a no-brainer really.  If you like Bosco, and you like White Hot Chocolate, you really can’t go wrong by mixing the two.  I find the sweet berry flavor to be the perfect compliment to the smooth white chocolate of the Timothy’s K-Cup.  I suspect that most grown-ups will think I’m insane, and there’s a pretty good chance that I am, but I think the mixture is absolutely delicious, and you can bet I’ll make it again.

Hey moms, your kids will love the deep blue color (and the taste) of Timothys White Hot Cocoa and Bosco Berry Blue Syrup. How tasty does this look?
At the very least, parents, mix some up for your kids.  They’ll love the bright blue color, not to mention the sweet synthetic berry flavor it adds to their white hot cocoa.

Timothy’s White Hot Cocoa K-Cups are available from K-Cup Challenge sponsor Shoffee.com.  If you missed my review of Timothy’s White Hot Chocolate, you can reat it here, or check out the growing list of reviews in my K-Cup Challenge.

As for where you can find Bosco Berry Blue Syrup…I have no idea.

I can honestly say I have never heard of that hot chocolate trick before. Who would think about putting blueberry syrup in a cup of white hot chocolate. Your right about the color, most adults have a hard time eating anything that is blue. I guess color is very important when it comes to our apatite, that is probably why food companies use so much food coloring in their products, lol.

A do know of a hot chocolate trick that will apeal to adults too.
