Just an update on last week’s mention of a Keurig K-Cup Challenge.  The tasting is underway.  I believe reviews will be fairly short (how much can one really write about a cup of coffee?).  I’m working on developing a consistent format such that all of the reviews will, at least loosely, follow the same line.  While I’m still hammering out some of the details, I can say that each review will be derived from two samples of each flavor reviewed.  After all, even bad coffee deserves a second chance.

I’m not a big fan of drinking my coffee black, but I’ll at least take in a few mouthfuls to get a feel for the flavor.  Then I’ll add what I always add; cream, and two splenda.  Obviously there is no one way to prepare coffee that’s going to work for everyone, which is why I’m willing to drink it black…at least we’ll have a baseline.

Again, for consistency’s sake all of my Keurig K-Cups will be prepared using my company’s Keurig B140 Office Brewer on the 8 oz. setting.

I expect to begin rolling out reviews early next week, if not sooner.  I’m holding to my initial rate of 1-2 per week, which means I’ll be at this for quite some time (it’s good to have a project).  While I’m not pounding the pavement, making phone calls, or even feverishly sending emails, I’m hoping to line up a partner/sponsor for the project so I can increase the variety beyond what’s available in my office, increase the overall number of reviews, and provide readers with links where you can purchase any and all of the varieties reviewed.
