Cleveland Golf announces V-14 Bag

Like most of the manufacturers in the golf industry, Cleveland has made several product announcements in these, the days leading up to the 2008 PGA show. Although Cleveland has lots of really cool stuff hitting stores over the next few months, nothing caught our attention quite like the introduction of the V-14 Cart Bag with “Club Count” Technology.

The guys here at What the Deuce are constantly leaving wedges, the occasional iron, and once even a driver lying on the fringes of many a green. If you’re like us, then you know, there are few things more frustrating that having to double-back to the group behind you and timidly ask “umm, did you guys find a wedge”?

The new V-14 bag aims to solve that problem. Cleveland’s high tech offering promises to warn golfers with a flashing LED light, and a subtle chirp anytime they fail to return the same number of clubs to the bag that they took out. A simple on/off switch controls the entire mechanism. If only my wallet had a similar feature.

The V-14 features a 10″ top, 14 individual club dividers, and multiple storage pockets. The bag is available in red, royal blue, and black.

No word yet on pricing and availability.
